An Introduction

Today I introduced myself to my very own Heart,

In silent agony, after all these years it bled apart.

Poetry type – Couplet.
couplet is a pair of lines of meter in poetry. It usually consists of two lines that rhyme and have the same meter.

While traditionally couplets rhyme, not all do. A poem may use white space to mark out couplets if they do not rhyme.

  1. Polished. Pointed. Poingnant. Sometime we stuff our feelings … then the day arrives when we have to face up.

Perfect paring of illustration and poem. Good job.

  2. Your lines are explosive. My fascination of short poems is the power they hold. The topic alone is intriguing. I always assumed that my emotions are my own, that my feelings are just an extension of myself. But they very much belong to the emotions I associate them with. Great Read!

Aside that, your new gravatar is remarkable, the natural in there ensures that. A simplicity that produces a spectrum.
