Oh, did I just ask to not address NAVIC (Navigation with Indian Constellation) as our own GPS (Global Positioning System). Have I lost my mind to go against the trend media has created? Am I actually serious about it? Well, let’s see why I am making such a preposterous appeal.
I have realised while talking to a lot of people on social media that they think GPS is a technology per say in generic terms which is completely incorrect. And the headlines all over media are reflecting as such. So first let’s talk about different satellite based navigation systems.
What is GPS:
GPS (Global Positioning System) is a global satellite-based navigation system made up of a network of 24 satellites placed into orbit by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). It is a U.S.-owned utility that provides users with positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) services. This system consists of three segments: the space segment, the control segment, and the user segment. GPS is operated and maintained by the U.S. Air Force (Source: HERE). It is currently the world’s most utilized satellite navigation system. Continue reading “Why we shouldn’t address NAVIC as ‘our own GPS’.”
Albeit I depart, I carry it in my heart. Memories of warm faces, Zipping through tranquil places. Fantastico it was
while I did not pause.
“Tell me I am selected!” That was my reply when the guy on the other end of the call told me he is Saurabh from Indiblogger.
“Oh yes you are.” He said smiling and I was already doing my happy dance. Can you Imagine being me at that moment, I have never ever attended any fun blogger’s event before and the thought of spending an entire weekend in Goa with 59 other bloggers for an exclusive pre-launch event of the all new Tata Zica was simply amazing. It’s name is driven from Zippy Car. “But you will have to fly to Mumbai a day earlier and will have to manage a stay in Mumbai for the night.” He informed me and I was really too happy to care about all that so I just said yes and it was a done deal. I know you are wondering what sort of starting is that! What exactly am I trying to convey. Wait, hear me out before concluding me as a nutcase. I am asking you to let go of that heavy feeling in your heart or that mental pressure that has been building up for long. Just let go of the feeling of pain, resentment, anger, tension, worries. All the pessimistic energy you have been building up for all this time, let go of that. Untie your body from your mind, let your feet go freely like they have their mind of own, stretch your arms out and let them follow with the motion of your feet. The world around you has its own rhythm, feel it in your heart and sway with it. That rhythm will remind you of your own existence, your body which is owned by only you, no one else. So celebrate it because no one’s is judging you and who cares if anyone’s watching. This is your time, fill your body with joy and life, let go of negativeness, dance it out. Piglet – “How do you spell ‘love’?” Phoo – “You don’t spell it…you feel it.” These are one of my favorite lines from A.A.Milne. But If I really have to spell love, I would spell it as T.I.M.E. Yes in a sense love can be spelled as time not as a quantity but as a quality. Giving your quality time to your loved ones is the best gift that not only makes the receiver feel special but giver feels content as well. Alas! Time is that precious thing that often eludes us. Weather we have a deadline to meet, take our meals, have a new job, complete the pending tasks, meet family or friends or go for a vacation, we find ourselves wishing for more time. Unfortunately we only have 24 hours a day, time is a limited commodity whereas love isn’t then why are we so restricted with giving love to people around us? I am not talking about family and friends, we all love them I can bet on it but I am talking about our neighbors, or people at workplace, or all those strange faces we see every morning when we go for a jog, or our environment. We are a part of a disconnected society, we don’t even know our neighbors properly. People don’t even help each other these days, may be they are less empathetic and have trust issues. Life is already complicated enough to invite more complications into it and that often stops us from knowing others and caring about them. We always complain that we don’t have enough love in our lives; we are constantly seeking for more. What if I tell you that the love we seek for is right here in our hearts, it’s always been there and it grows by giving. Building trust is a gradual process but giving love should come naturally.Continue reading “Experience Real Togetherness”
Stayzilla was born in 2004 when 3 friends got together to bring online the value rooms under budget across India. Since then Stayzilla have seen many changes and came a long way. It doesn’t only let you book hotel rooms online but also have a very interesting feature which I must say is its main feature, renting out the unused rooms of your home as a host or rent other’s room for stay as a guest. You may ask why would one do that. Aren’t hotels good enough? Well let’s look it this way, don’t we all complain about not being able to eat homely food or miss home when we are away from our home. There’s your answer because one can find home away from home.
Recently I tried out Stayzilla App for android, So let’s see how it all works. Once the app is downloaded one has to sign up for it which is the regular signing up process. Or if you are an existing user then sign in to it. Thereafter one can either look for renting properties as a guest under guest view or register their property under host view. The UI (user interface) of the app is pretty easy to surf around and with a pleasant color pallet the experience gets better. Continue reading “Stayzilla: Make room for something new”
Me: I went to a restaurant yesterday, there was this board hanging that said “Help Wanted” and just beneath it another board said “Self-service” so I did what any sane person would have done.
Miss Felicia: And what would that be?
Me: I hired myself. Since I was well qualified so I gave myself a raise and seeing my dedication I promoted myself. But you know I am not good at taking orders so I fired myself.
Miss Felicia *making a face, rolled her eyes*.
Did your hat go flying right out of the window? Did it? It didn’t! Well, that was a bummer but I warned you not to sit in a window-less room. You can’t blame me for trying my hands or rather humor at stand-up comedy which is totally hot these days, as in red-hottest-chili hot. Continue reading “Thou shalt laugh your hats off”
Hello my lovely readers, I am absolutely enthralled to introduce you all to my new (or first ever) expert adviser of this blog *Drumroll*Miss Felicia, who is absolutely charming. When I first saw her on television, I just screamed “It’s so fluffy!”Oops 😮 I meant I was so enchanted by her eyes and stature that I knew she is that treasure who will be my partner in crime if I were in need. Well, dang it! who am I kidding, I did scream “It’s so fluffy!!” Or was it Agnes who screamed? I guess it was indeed Agnes but she sounded a lot like me.

It’s easy to walk away from lies. Power is another thing.
MacKayla Lane would do anything to save the home she loves. A gifted sidhe-seer, she’s already fought and defeated the deadly Sinsar Dubh—an ancient book of terrible evil—yet its hold on her has never been stronger.
When the wall that protected humans from the seductive, insatiable Fae was destroyed on Halloween, long-imprisoned immortals ravaged the planet. Now Dublin is a war zone with factions battling for control. As the city heats up and the ice left by the Hoar Frost King melts, tempers flare, passions run red-hot, and dangerous lines get crossed.
Seelie and Unseelie vie for power against nine ancient immortals who have governed Dublin for millennia; a rival band of sidhe-seers invades the city, determined to claim it for their own; Mac’s former protégé and best friend, Dani “Mega” O’Malley, is now her fierce enemy; and even more urgent, Highland druid Christian MacKeltar has been captured by the Crimson Hag and is being driven deeper into Unseelie madness with each passing day. The only one Mac can depend on is the powerful, dangerous immortal Jericho Barrons, but even their fiery bond is tested by betrayal.
It’s a world where staying alive is a constant struggle, the line between good and evil gets blurred, and every alliance comes at a price. In an epic battle against dark forces, Mac must decide who she can trust, and what her survival is ultimately worth.
This is not going to be a regular review but more of a talk about the book #7 Burned in Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. Let’s go back to #6 book ‘Iced‘ first, it was released in 2012 and the readers were grossed out by the possible insinuated chemistry of Dani a fierce lively Fourteen-year-old girl and millennia-old-dashing-immortal Ryoden which probably made Karen Marie Moning (the author) change her plot for the next book and she pushed the publication date and Burned was released two years after Iced. (It’s my first fiction/fantasy/novel of this year) Continue reading “The plot twist of burned by Karen Marie Moning”
