Prioritizing you needs and shopping within budget is smart shopping but with this accelerating price-tag, budget and shopping doesn’t do hand in hand unless.. you shop in discount season but there is another catch, there are only two EOSS (end of season sale) albeit they are my favourite seasons but waiting so long to buy dresses or pair of shoe I am absolutely in love with, is quite perilous.. You see .. They can go Out-Of-Stock by the EOSS, and that fear always makes me shop by paying full price. Every time I go shopping I say “God bless my wallet”, and it’s apt but not since I met the online shopping portals.
Now, not everyone is enthusiastic with the notion of online shopping, questions like, If it’s safe? Will you get what you see? Will it fit you? What if you get damaged goods etc? Oh the what-if session will never stop, but you must know that online shopping portals like Flipkart, Myntra, Yebhi and many others take care of all our What-ifs. Shopping with just one click, and they provide COD (Cash on delivery, easy returns, discounts almost 12 months, now no waiting for the EOSS to arrive, shop when you want, what you want, where you want. But wait.. It still is not smart shopping. There are websites that provide discount coupons of every online shopping portal which adds up to the already discounted item. Now that’s smart shopping.

I recently purchased catwalk bellies from Flipkart that too at 45%percent discount. Now you would think that when you can get 40% discount on Catwalk shoes at your nearest mall they why take the risk of shopping it online. Right? Well I tell you why, When shoes are on huge discounts at stores, they are not fresh, mostly display pieces, which are as bad as your decade old pair of shoe!! With no fresh shining leather but dull dusty almost worn-out piece, that’s the problem I always face at stores thereby end up buying either fresh or on 10-20% discount, because they usually have new pieces of that. LOVE the shoes you bought, Ankita! And I loved this post too. Very useful. I must admit that I am a little unsure when it comes to buying clothes and shoes online. I use online shopping predominantly for books but with all the advantages you’ve mentioned (most of which seem very appealing to me) I won’t hesitate to buy other stuff as well.
