Transformed Angel

They say its love’s fate.
To be consumed in hate.
But, this angel doesn’t think this way.
Wings of downy
Feathers that tussle,
With all her grace and beauty
Soft in almost still breeze
She sits alone.
Eyes so intense they have
No particular tone
As she asks a sorrowful dive
In darkest night,
“Why can’t they give up the fight?”
She took a moment to realize
That, this is for the right.
Tears of crimson slide down her cheeks,
Painful relief is what she seeks.
Her love is happy with another soul,
A soul that will make him whole.
Now that she found a reason
To prove she’ll be okay.
“Go, be happy with her.”
Were her last words of pain
Before she left for her
Happier domain.

  1. Strong of soul this angel did stuttered
For she send her love into
    the arms of another

    Sorrowful drove deep within
    The darkest of nights
    This fight she can’t win

Now that he’s gone it easy to see
A new life she will have
For her heart now is free

    Amazing poem, Ankita…
Inspite of the melancholy undertones to it, the bright end made me feel very nice… as soon as one finds peace (with anyone or anything), one should cherish it…

    Beautifully written, sweetheart.. very soulful..
